Jay-Z Drops A
4:44
Interview

A lot has happened since Jay-Z shared his 11th studio album "4:44", including the release of several music videos like MaNyfaCedGod which appeared on YouTube just yesterday. Let's Face it Jay has broken the Internet. As a very controversial and hyped body of music, Jay hasn’t personally contributed anything to the discussions, aside from some footnotes on iHeartRadio — until now. His first interview since 4:44 appeared on Rap Radar podcast where he sat down to discuss the process, the unconventional debut of the album, and some of the beef sparked by the misinterpreted line “Hello? What they say? Don’t put money in your ear?” If you have Tidal, I highly recommend checking out the podcast. A follow-up can be expected, as tweeted by Rap Radar host Brian “B.Dot” Miller

Logic Releases Visual for His Song
"1-800"

Logic has always been a passionate rapper promoting Peace, Love, and Positivity. Logic cuts deep with his music and uses his voice as an artist to relate to not only his fans but the world. After dropping his 3rd studio album "Everybody" logic provides fans with the visual to his song "1-800". The song "1-800" speaks on many controversial and scary topics such as homosexuality and Suicide but connects with fans in the most influential way possible. "Personally I cried while watching this video. I remember growing up feeling empty and lost being a black kid in a predominantly white neighborhood I grew up being afraid.  I was afraid to be myself. I remember my best friend father telling him he wasn't allowed to play with me because I was black. (Yep. he said it just like that.) I was 10 years old" ~ A. Taylor Editor-In-Chief of Oblongata Magazine.

Directed by Andy Hines, the moving footage centers around a young gay man and his struggles with his sexuality. The video also stars actor Don Cheadle as the young man’s father, Luis Guzmán as the track coach and Nolan Gould as his lover. Alessia Cara and Khalid are also featured in the vocal category.

The track’s title is a reference to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. Read some of our Chefs personal thoughts by clicking here. Please check out the video below and let us know your story.
