An On-Feet Look at the UNDEFEATED x Nike Air Max 97

After making waves around the internet over the past few weeks, the collaborative Air Max 97 sneaker between Nike and UNDEFEATED is finally making its way onto feet. The latest iteration of the sneaker that’s been celebrated all year sees a variety of materials used for its construction. The leather mudguard compliments the rest of the black upper, with the green and red stripe with UNDEFEATED’s branding finishing off the look. Nike’s staple Air Max bubble inside the sneaker’s outsole provides the comfy cushion with the Swoosh logo appearing along the side and underneath the sneaker.
The UNDEFEATED x Nike Air Max 97 is slated to release select European retailers like BSTN on September 21. You can expect to see the shoe hit North American shores later this month with an estimated price tag of $180 USD. It’s also rumored that the white version of the UNDFTD x AM97 will be an UNDFTD exclusive; stay tuned.

Several months following our initial closer look of the Adidas YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 “Beluga 2.0,” we finally get a rumored release date for the latest colorway in the Kanye West x Adidas Originals footwear partnership. Courtesy of Yeezy Mafia via Instagram, the second coming of the much beloved “Beluga” colorway is supposedly slated for an October 14 release.
Adidas has not confirmed this as the official launch date and there has been no word on pricing but stay tuned and expect an official announcement in the coming weeks. The muted stripe on the lateral of the 2.0 version is the most obvious difference from its older brother along with the heel pull tab. Let us know if you like this newer look better than the original. In other Adidas Originals collaborative news, check out the N.E.R.D.-inspired black Pharrell Hu NMDs.

New Nike
Air Footscape NM

After releasing a denim-draped “Camper” colorway of the Air Footscape NM, Nike is bringing two new looks to one of its older models. Set to release in both an “Ice Jade” and a “Sequoia” colorway, the first new set sees an aqua blue upper paired with a light brown panel on the toe box. The look is finished off with a few purple highlights along the sneaker’s collar and for the Swoosh logos on the inside and on the toe box.
The second set sees more neutral tones across the body, with a dark gray material used for the upper and lighter shades used for the toe panel and the tongue. The purple trim from the “Ice Jade” colorway is replaced with a bright yellow and both sets sit atop a white textured sole.
You can expect to see both the “Ice Jade” and the “Sequoia” colorways of the Nike Footscape NM hit retailers in the near future, with an estimated price tag of around $120 USD. For more Nike news, take a look at the black and metallic silver colorway of the Air Max 1 Jewel.

Forever 21 has been criticized for copying Tupac designs, Kanye West’s Saint Pablo Tour merchandise, and recently, Gucci’s iconic stripes motif. The trendy fashion conglomerates never ending appropriation of wares has led folks to question the authenticity of its designs. This time around, however, the imprint is doing things right and accordingly has chosen to collab with A-lister and Hip-Hop Mongol "Future".

To promote "Futures" HNDRXX Tour, the Atlanta rapper teamed up with Forever 21 on an exclusive apparel range spanning T-shirts and caps. Fred Foster —- who is the creative director of Future’s Freebandz clothing imprint and founder of streetwear brand, Cease & Desist —- is the design mastermind behind the merch capsule. Standout pieces include safety orange caps and a tonal black T-shirt emblazoned with “HNDRXX” graphic alongside a portrait of Future and accompanying song lyrics.

Take a look at the photos above and let us know your thoughts. The collaborative line is currently available for purchase on Forever 21’s official website. All pieces are priced at approximately $35 USD.
